The Saudi-backed Super Golf League is coming to New Jersey this summer.
And it’s not just any course that will host the event.
The league, which is being called the LIV Golf Invitational Series, will set up shop at Trump National in Bedminster July 29-31. That’s according to a league schedule reported by Sports Illustrated.
The Washington Post first reported in March that Trump’s courses in Bedminster and Doral, Fla. could host Super Golf League events.
Trump owns 17 golf courses, including three in New Jersey: Trump National in Bedminster, Trump National in Colts Neck and Trump National in Philadelphia (which actually is in Pine Hill).
Following the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection, Bedminster was stripped of the 2022 PGA Championship by PGA of America. The Royal & Ancient followed up by announcing Trump Turnberry would not be considered as a site for future British Opens.

The biggest name backing the new league is Greg Norman, the two-time British Open champion.
Phil Mickelson, the winner of six majors, initially supported the Saudi-backed league, costing him several sponsorships as Lefty talked down human rights violations to gain leverage with the PGA Tour.
It also forced Mickelson to take some time away from the game. ESPN reports Mickelson has registered to play in next month’s PGA Championship (at which he is the defending champion) and the US Open in June.
However, ESPN also reports Mickelson’s agents “have requested a release from the PGA Tour to allow the six-time major champion to play in the first event of the Saudi Arabian-funded LIV Golf Invitational Series in London in June.”
